LAST CHANCE

Open Studios 2010 appears to be a resounding success this year with artists, artisans and crafters reporting an upswing in visitors. It looks as if tourists are returning to the island of Aphrodite, which should warm the cockles of her heart.

Each year, the artists of Cyprus open their workspaces and homes to the public.  At all venues they will be on-hand to help you engage with their creations, keen to talk you through the extraordinary range of materials, skills and traditions that inform their work. To avoid disappointment, please consult the guidebook which is free and available at any of the Cyprus Tourism Organisation’s offices and many, many other outlets throughout the Polis, Paphos and Limassol areas, or consult the website to see which studios will be open on your chosen route.

To help you find your way, participating artists will display an official Open Studios banner or poster outside their premises as well as directional arrows to guide you there. Be sure to check the website for printable maps to take along and any other information you may need.

Participating studios are open from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm on both Saturdays and Sundays.

The season ends on the weekend of October 24-25. Don’t squander the opportunity to be warmly welcomed into the hearts and hearths of the artists of Cyprus. They are opening their doors for you to enjoy their creations.
